Sponsorship and Partnership Opportunities

Be a prominent part of making the Riverwalk District and Fort Lauderdale a better place to Live, Work and Play!

Riverwalk depends on support from the business and philanthropic community to continue our mission to “be the catalyst in building and nurturing Riverwalk and the Riverwalk District as a vibrant community connected by the New River.”

Riverwalk seeks sponsors for our events, projects and programs throughout the year.  These sponsors enable us to raise funds to further enhance the Riverwalk District and Riverwalk District Parks, continue to communicate with the community about ongoing events and programs and promote the Riverwalk District as the vibrant community it has become.  Annual opportunities include: Riverwalk Banner Sponsorship and Riverwalk Signature Events including Riverwalk Tribute and Riverwalk Stone Crab & Seafood Festival, as well as Riverwalk member events including Get Downtown and quarterly Power Mixers. We encourage proposals for programs or projects not offered that may benefit the community.

For information on sponsorships currently available contact Riverwalk Vice President Jeremy Collette at jeremy@goriverwalk.com or 954-468-1541 ext. 203.

Partner organizations understand how important the Riverwalk Park and Riverwalk District are to the growth and strength of Fort Lauderdale, and are willing to work hand-in-hand with our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and advocates throughout the city to further enhance and grow Fort Lauderdale’s downtown.  Riverwalk enters into partnership agreements with organizations who commit to investing a minimum of $2,500 into Riverwalk for a year, whether through event and banner sponsorships, membership or other special projects.  Partnership agreements are customizable, and partner organizations receive prominent mention on our website and acknowledgement on our social media pages and in Go Riverwalk magazine.

For more information on becoming a Riverwalk partner contact President/CEO Genia Duncan Ellis at genia@goriverwalk.com or 954-468-1541 ext. 201.

Being a part of the Riverwalk Trust is such an honor for me. Thinking about what the goals and objectives are of this organization make me reflect back to growing up in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and the amount of interaction I have had with the New River, which serves as the spinal cord to this great city of ours. From one end to the other, the Riverwalk is and will continue to extend in to far reaching areas, whether it be along the Andrews Avenue corridor or down Las Olas Boulevard. As it has in the past, it will continue to link a variety of activities, both professional and personal. This diversity is also represented in the Riverwalk Trust Board of Directors makeup, which offers so many different views and perspectives that ultimately benefit the area. Even with what has been accomplished, it is breathtaking to think what is on the horizon for the Riverwalk“.  Michael C. Weymouth | President, The Las Olas Company

I have been involved with the Riverwalk Trust from its early beginnings and have witnessed its growth and influence in creating a vibrant and sustainable subtropical urban community. With a passion for design and for connecting higher education with business and industry, in the mid-1990s I participated in the formation of the newly established School of Architecture at Florida Atlantic University and joined the faculty in 1996 as a visiting assistant professor. In the spring of 2011 I had the privilege of chairing the third International Subtropical Cities conference, which was held for the first time in the United States. The conference originated at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. One of the reasons Fort Lauderdale was selected as a host city for this conference was its pre-eminence as a leading subtropical urban environment — and for the exemplary connectivity afforded by Riverwalk between the university and the cultural, entertainment, retail and residential amenities. Due to our success in attracting hundreds of attendees from all around the subtropical world, we look forward to the next conference returning to Fort Lauderdale in the fall of 2013. The spirit of Fort Lauderdale, with its casual, informal and genuinely amicable atmosphere, remains as true today as it has throughout its history. I love living in Colee Hammock, where we can walk to Las Olas, Riverwalk, the university, museums and cultural avenues. To truly know Fort Lauderdale, you have to get out of your car!Anthony Abbate | Associate Provost, | Florida Atlantic University Broward Campuses

“Riverwalk Trust and its mission are a part of what makes up the fabric of Fort Lauderdale. It is with the support of interested residents, businesses and community partnerships that Riverwalk Trust is able to achieve the very important mission of activating Downtown, communicating through their publications and social media for others as well as Riverwalk Trust, and continuing to foster an economic engine that makes our city thrive. Collaboration with the many Downtown stakeholders creates a synergy that defines a community. It is my pleasure to participate with an organization that looks forward and makes things happen”.  Lynn Shatas

“As a native of Fort Lauderdale, I have seen the many changes and challenges our City has gone through, especially in the development of the Downtown area. I have made it a personal commitment to making things better for everyone who lives and visits our beautiful destination. As the President/CEO of Winterfest, Inc., my proudest moment was moving the internationally famous Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade to include the Downtown area of Fort Lauderdale. My love for Winterfest developed from early childhood as parade watching was a family tradition. My holiday memories are the driving force to my commitment to create a quality, high profile event for the community that brings family and friends together“.  Lisa Scott Founds | President/CEO, Winterfest
