Young At Art Museum has announced the opening of INNERSPACE, an interactive exhibition designed to inspire visitors to think about a specific aspect of their life with interactive elements to prompt reflection, creativity and exploration based on the Japanese concept of “Ikigai” or “a reason for being.” The exhibition will be on display from November 16 through April 26 in the Young At Art Knight Gallery.In INNERSPACE, designed by Allison Matherly and Jeffrey Noble, the prolific and acclaimed Miami-based artist collaborative Nice’n Easy, visitors will enter a reimagined home in the shape of an infinity symbol where the furniture and environments are fused with the feel of a subtropical island.

Visitors are invited to think about each aspect of their life inside different rooms that make up their path in life. Each room is drenched in a subtropical, Floridian aesthetic and focuses on one color and one aspect of life with interactive role-playing activities that help visitors discover inspiration, passion and what makes them happy as they explore each dream-like space. Nice’n Easy’s signature sculptures that incorporate functional furniture design will provide places to sit, climb and explore, with art projects and prompts to aid visitors to use art psychology and color theory to explore deep within themselves. Inside visitors can:

• Find their way through a sand labyrinth
• Learn and participate in meditative drawing practices that infuse art and psychology
• Learn about color theory and why certain colors make them feel different ways
• Play in an oversized sandpit
• Explore each room in this subtropical home and participate in role playing activities

Entrance to all exhibits is included with Museum admission. Young At Art Museum is located at 751 SW 121st. Ave. in Davie. Hours are Monday through Thursday, from 10 am – 5 pm; Friday and Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm and Sunday 11 am to 6 pm.
