Westfield Broward is proud to present Westfield Walls, an interactive art experience, featuring an urban street art lounge, live performances, art demonstrations, family-friendly art workshops and audience giveaways. The mall’s indoor art transformation is in partnership with ArtServe, a Broward-based, non-profit organization that empowers local artists and cultural entities to achieve their vision, improve the cultural fabric of our community, and discover innovations in the arts.

Admission to Westfield Walls is free and open to the public on Saturdays, July 27, August 3 and August 10, from noon to 4 p.m., in the mall’s Center Court. The immersive art experience highlights a new breed of street art that will encourage the local community to both discover and exercise their artistic excellence.

Each weekend, attendees will get to experience local artists creating unique works of art in real time:

• Saturday, July 27, 2019: Artist Renda Writer

Renda Writer is a South Florida artist best known for his handwritten murals which turn his handwriting into visual art Writer has completed more than 100 handwritten murals and received national recognition for his work.

• Saturday, August 3, 2019: Artist Emmanuel Gonzales

Emmanuel Gonzales has had a strong presence in the South Florida art scene since his graduation from Palm Beach Atlantic College in 2001. His body of art explores the past and present through realism and portraiture and includes a growing retrospective of American icons where each piece is presented as a fragment in a larger American patchwork.

• Saturday, August 10, 2019: Artist RESQ 77

RESQ 77 is a Broward County native whose style brings graffiti and design into a surreal perspective. His mix of spray paint and fluid acrylic has been versatile in the artistic opportunities he has tackled.  His latest series, titled “Tropiculture,” focuses on South Florida as a tropical paradise with a goal of having observers respect and take care of the natural beauty around them.
