The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale, recognized as Broward County’s premier shopping destination, will present The Front Porch Project, a new month-long photography portrait exhibit by Michael Murphy chronicling South Florida life during the COVID-19 quarantine. The walk-through retrospective will open on Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m. in the space across from Altar’d State, next to Swarovski.

Captured by professional photographer Murphy, The Front Porch Project features 32 18” x 24” canvas-style portraits illustrating a cross-section of Fort Lauderdale leaders and community members enjoying life from their front porches, yards and places of business. Included in the slice-of-life portrayals are Lisa Scott Founds, CEO of Winterfest, internationally recognized entertainers Latrice Royale, Jim Buff (Electra) and Miss Varla Jean Merman, Lori Parrish, Brett Rose of UNCS, Kim Vassar, vice president of philanthropy at Arc Broward, Jessica Kersey Rodriguez, director of major gifts at South Florida PBS, Alan Goldstein and Robert Hughes of Over the Top, Wilton Manors City Commissioners Scott Newton and Paul Rolli plus others.
