The Color Run™ 5k is going down in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Saturday, April 23rd, 2016! The only question is, “Are you ready for the craziest, colorful, 5k of your life?” You bet you are! Race it solo or form a “color team” of 4+ members. Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale is delighted to announce that we have been selected as the partner charity for The Color Run™ Fort Lauderdale. The Color Run™ 5k is a one of a kind experience that is less about speed and more about enjoying a color crazy day with your friends and family. It is about participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes toeing the start line. Whether you are a casual morning mall walker or an Olympic athlete, the 3 miles of The Color Run™ course will be the most enjoyable real estate you’ve traveled in a VERY long time.

The Color Run™ event pretty much has three simple rules:

• All participants are welcome… fast, slow, runner, walker, old, and young.
• White shirts (any mostly white T will work great) MANDATORY at the start line and ready to roll at 7:30am!
• Color plastered EVERYTHING at the finish!

VOLUNTEER

• Possible positions include handing out water, revving up the crowd at the finish festival, tossing color and more! Position requests will be taken on a first-come first-served basis on race morning.
• We also need help with clean up  It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it. Our cleanup crews make The Color Run possible. Cleanup crews will help sweep the course and festival areas to ensure all areas are free from debris, litter, and color caused by the race. They will be considered heroes.

Runner/walkers begin the 5k at the start line like a brand new pristine coloring book. By the end, they look like they fell into a Willy Wonka… tie dyed… vat of colored goodness. Each kilometer of the event is associated with a designated color: yellow, orange, pink, or blue. As the runners/walkers reach the Kilometer COLOR Zones, they are blitzed by volunteers, sponsors, and staff with COLOR. All products are 100% natural and safe.After the finish, participants are encouraged to stick around, celebrate, and see exactly how much COLOR one person can handle. We will have food, color, and festivities that will make your color-powdered head spin. Also make sure to take the time to stroll along the Riverwalk and enjoy its scenic views.
