More than 300 guests are expected to trade in their black-tie attire for “tropical chic” and attend the annual Pineapple Jam on Saturday, May 7 at The Main Las Olas, 201 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale benefiting the Historic Stranahan House Museum’s educational and historic preservation programs.

The party gets started at 6 p.m. with cocktails, live musical entertainment and Floribbean cuisine. Guests can bid on exclusive silent auction items and experiences and purchase raffle tickets.

Pineapple Jam funds year-round educational outreach programs, which fulfill Broward County’s fourth-grade history requirement for more than 3,000 elementary school students annually. Since its inception, Pineapple Jam has raised more than a million dollars for Stranahan House programming and projects.

The Historic Stranahan House Museum is the oldest house in Fort Lauderdale and the epicenter of Broward County’s long and fascinating history. Built in 1901, Stranahan House is recognized as the birthplace of Fort Lauderdale and was home to the area’s first businessman, Frank Stranahan, and the first schoolteacher, Ivy Cromartie Stranahan. The House opened as a museum in 1984 and serves more than 30,000 visitors annually.

Tickets for Pineapple Jam are $150 and can be purchased at https://stranahanhouse.org/events/. For sponsorship opportunities, contact 954-524-4736 or director@stranahanhouse.org.
