United Way of Broward County Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, in collaboration with Broward Behavioral Health Coalition, is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Rising Above Stigma VIRTUAL Conference on Saturday, May 2, 2020. The event will focus on supporting and raising awareness of behavioral health and substance use prevention within the Hispanic Community.

Doctor Juan Rivera, best-selling author, cardiologist and expert doctor on multiple “Univisión” television programs, will serve as the keynote speaker.

Conference Topics will include Active Parenting to Prevent Substance Abuse, Wellness for the Family, Dealing with Stress, Brain Health and Prevention is Protection.

The event will bring parents together to facilitate conversations about topics related to breaking negative cycles, cultural challenges, and coping skills related to wellness and substance use within the Hispanic Community.
