Due to the recent flooding, Broward College is hosting the only Pat Tillman Honor Run/Walk in South Florida on Saturday, May 20 at the Broward College South Campus, 7200 Pines Blvd. in Pembroke Pines. Check-in begins at 6 a.m. and the run/walk along the 4.2-mile course begins promptly at 7 a.m. Proceeds from the Pat Tillman Honor Run/Walk funds scholarships for veterans who are students at Broward College.
The Pat Tillman Honor Run celebrates the legacy of Pat Tillman, who left his NFL career with Arizona Cardinals to enlist in the U.S. Army after 9/11. He was killed in the line of duty in 2004. The 4.2-mile course honors Tillman’s jersey number 42 that he wore as a member of the Arizona State University football team.
