Orchid Care – Repotting & Mounting plus Combating Pests & Diseases Classes – These classes will cover all aspects of transplanting with an emphasis on techniques and the use of different materials including cork, driftwood, plaques, baskets, and mounting on trees. Proper sterilization of tools will also be discussed to limit the spread of viruses to collections.

Each class will be followed by a guided tour of the Orchid Display House as well as the Orchid Greenhouses.

This class will be taught by Bonnet House Orchid Curator, Jose Exposito, along with his team of orchid care experts. Jose Exposito, the founder of Soroa Orchids, is a senior judge of the American Orchid Society and is a world-renowned speaker and has spoken at World Orchid Conferences in Brazil and Malaysia. He has been featured in Orchids Magazine, Vogue, Martha Stewart Show, and in many other national and international publications.

Classes will take place on Tuesday, August 15: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
