During these classes, students will be introduced to various types of orchids, learn basic cultivation techniques and learn how to choose the correct plants for their growing areas and what they need – water, light, fertilizer, and the ideal temperature so they grow beautifully. The class is the perfect way to begin the exciting hobby of orchid growing.

Each class is limited to 10 students and will be followed by a guided tour of the Orchid Display House and the Orchid Greenhouses.

This class will be taught by Bonnet House Orchid Curator, Jose Exposito, along with his team of orchid care experts. Jose Exposito, the founder of Soroa Orchids, is a senior judge of the American Orchid Society and is a world-renowned speaker and has spoken at World Orchid Conferences in Brazil and Malaysia. He has been featured in Orchids Magazine, Vogue, Martha Stewart Show, and in many other national and international publications.

Classes will take place on Tuesday, August 8: 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
