Offering a mic, a barstool and a spotlight to all local talent accompanied by excellent food and drink in a chill lounge atmosphere, ArtServe begins a new season of Open Mic, held on the fourth Tuesday of every month beginning February 23.

Triple threat performer Michelle Rose Domb joins the series as host. The actor-singer-dancer is currently filming the second season of the Netflix series Bloodline and, as a champion of the open-art format, Domb has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, Boston Improv Festival and LA Comedy Festival.

“Bordering on several neighborhoods in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, ArtServe is the perfect place for friends to meet up on Open Mic nights,” said ArtServe president Jaye Abbate. “They can enjoy the coffee house style atmosphere, buy food, grab a drink and even browse the ArtServe gift shop or the latest exhibit in the gallery.”

Open Mic nights are open to all local talent including entertainers who are stage-testing new material and building a following, as well as those who want to experience the thrill of connecting with a live audience for the first time. Musicians, comics, singer/songwriters, spoken word artists and small bands have been among the crowd favorites in the past.

Open mic nights at ArtServe take place on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. Performer sign up is at 6:30 p.m. and performers must bring their own instruments. Admission is $5 and food and beverages are available for purchase.
