United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED to honor veterans for their military service at the Journey Home Ceremony and Quilts of Valor event.
• United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED in partnership with the South Florida Coalition of Quilts and Valor will honor military service members that have been touched by war.
• The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting Quilts of Valor.
• Each veteran will be presented with a locally made quilt.
• MISSION UNITED is accepting quilt nominations from all eligible veterans who have been deployed in support of their service.
• Veterans, family, friends and community supporters are invited to come out to the FREE event at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.
