Pets’ Broward, a private non-profit organization, and Andrew & Tanya Heller will co-host the first annual “Merry Mutts & Festive Felines” Howliday Fundraiser on Saturday, December 1st from 6pm to 8:30pm.

Pets’ Broward’s mission is to eliminate the killing of all adoptable shelter pets in Broward County by working with the county and the community to significantly increase pet sterilizations, fostering, adoptions, and to reduce pet surrenders.

The holiday fundraiser will take place at the Animal Care and Adoption Center located at 2400 SW 42nd Street, Fort Lauderdale. The funds will benefit the Pets’ Broward’s much needed “Backyard Beautification Project,” which will complete the unfinished backyard portion of the center. Currently, the backyard is very unwelcoming and uncomfortable for both people and pets.

The organization hopes to raise $150,000 to cover the costs of adding a shaded pavilion, turf, landscaping and shade trees, above ground dog pools, benches and a walkway around the yard.

Guests can pose on the red carpet, sip on libations provided by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and other local distilleries, with light hors-d’oeuvres being served throughout the night. Pets looking for their fur-ever home can be also adopted during the event.

Silent auction items will be available and sponsorships for the event are highly encouraged.

Tickets are a $75 donation and can be purchased here . For more information on Pets’ Broward and the many services they provide please visit petsbroward.org.
