Eight Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery, students of H.H. Dalai Lama, will visit the Coral Springs Museum of Art to share their teachings and artistic expression with the community.

The monks will devote each day to constructing the renowned sand mandala. Millions of colored grains of sand will be carefully laid out in detailed patterns and diagrams, which represent sacred textual Buddhist imagery.

At the Mani Stone Workshop, under the guidance of the monks, you will paint your own prayer stone known as a Mani Doh, or mani stone. These prayer stones are a physical representation of positive conditions such as long life, health and success.

The Coral Springs Museum of Art is one of only 33 locations the monks are visiting during their 2018 North American Sacred Art Tour, so this is one experience you will not want to miss.

Space is limited for this event.  For tickets and additional information, visit http://bit.ly/CSMOAMonks18.
