February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month!  Did you know that 81% of parents don’t believe that teen dating violence exists or admit they don’t know it’s an issue, yet one in three adolescents in the U.S. is a victim of physical, sexual, emotional or verbal abuse from a dating partner, affecting more teens than any other adolescent violence.

Forget Me Not Advocacy Group invites you to join us for Love Doesn’t Hurt – An Evening of Art and Theater Supporting Teen Dating Violence Awareness on Saturday, February 10th at 6:00 p.m.

The event will take place at The Florida Children’s Theater, located in the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale, and will be filled with interactive stations, living art, and theater to remind us, and our young adults, that love should never hurt. Join us for an evening of artistic expression and information on dating violence, domestic violence, and healthy relationships.

Appetizers, drinks, information tables (Women In Distress, No More Tears, and College Brides Walk), and a raffle will also be part of the festivities.

Tickets are $25 per person and all proceeds will support Forget Me Not Advocacy Group, a local non-profit focused on stopping domestic violence before it starts, through education and community awareness, while supporting those healing from it. Our goal is to give our young adults, and the community at large, the tools they need to recognize and avoid abusive relationships. Seating is limited, so get your tickets today.
