The Fort Lauderdale Woman’s Club in conjunction with the William G. Pomeroy Foundation and the National Collaboration of Women’s Historic Sites invite you to a Dedication Ceremony for the National Votes for Women Trail honoring Ivy Stranahan. She is considered the Mother of the City of Fort Lauderdale, former club President 1913-1916, and a strong suffragette! Ivy and her husband, Frank, donated the land where our clubhouse is located. Come and hear the little-known and well-known historical facts about both our club and Ivy Stranahan from the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society and the League of Women Voters. Join us for a champagne reception at 5:30 p.m. The dedication will begin at 6:15 p.m. This is a free event. RSVP is requested.
