House of Hope, a leading non-profit provider of substance abuse and mental health programming, has announced its first ever Race to Recovery, a virtual event with a mission to raise awareness of the impact that addiction has on the South Florida community and to raise funds to support the men and women in recovery at House of Hope.

During the Race to Recovery weekend June 26-28, House of Hope is encouraging the community to run, walk, jog, swim or bike two miles in honor of the two people that die every day in South Florida due to an overdose. Register for free as an individual or with a team by visiting https://houseofhope.org/raceforrecovery. Individuals and teams can set their own fundraising goal and create their own personal fundraising page. Friends and families will be able to support them through donations online or through cash or checks that can be dropped off or mailed to House of Hope. Participants will be encouraged to take a photo after completing their two miles and share on social media using the hashtag #2miles2gether. Every dollar raised through Race to Recovery will help House of Hope in its effort to rebuild lives, reunite families and strengthen the South Florida community.
