HALLELUJAH! Sebrina Maria Alfonso conducts the South Florida Symphony Orchestra in Handel’s glorious holiday tradition, Messiah. Kick off the holiday season as dazzling vocal soloists Neil Nelson, bass baritone; Gerardo Ortega, tenor; Kyaunnee Richardson, soprano; Stephanie Newman, mezzo-soprano, along with the 100-member South Florida Symphony Chorus, perform Part I (Christmas portion), culminating in the iconic “Hallelujah” Chorus.

To enhance the concert experience, the evening opens with an extraordinary “Behind the Music” story incorporating regally costumed actors reenacting the dramatic struggle faced by George Fredric Handel as he toiled to compose this masterpiece.
“A musical rite of the holiday season, the Baroque-era oratorio still awes listeners 250 years after the composer’s death” — Smithsonian Magazine
