In 2008, Miami artist Xavier Cortada arrived at the North Pole and planted a green flag to “reclaim it for nature.” Now he brings this experience to Pembroke Pines! Learn about important ways that we can help the environment and create a handmade green flag to plant next to a native tree at home. Participants can also create environmentally-themed artwork to be displayed in Xavier Cortada’s online global gallery! All ages are welcome. No prior experience is required and materials are provided. First come, first served.
