True stories told live on stage!
An intergenerational storytelling contest featuring both novice and experienced storytellers telling true, personal stories without notes on the theme of the night: “Truth and Lies.”
The Fort Lauderdale Story Slam features a range of storytellers from teens to seniors telling true, personal stories on a theme in 5-7 minutes. The stories are judged by a panel of audience members to determine the winner of the event, and the winner receives $100 prize money, with $50 going to two runners-up. Participants are pre-selected, and anyone (aged 15+) who is interested in telling a story can submit their idea at worldandeye.com/storyslam.
