Gary Monroe is the foremost expert on Florida Folks Art. In 2000 Gary wrote the definite book on the Highwaymen, which created renewed interest in their work. Joining Gary for this evening is 2nd generation Highwaymen painter, Kelvin Hair. Gary will speak about this unique South Florida art style and Kelvin’s painting, along with works by Alfred Hair and other African American painters, will be exhibited.
