Art both influences and reflects culture. Join us for our bimonthly themed cocktail gathering to bring artists and new audiences together. The Center teams up with Spf’18 Small Press Fair Fort Lauderdale for Zines for a zine workshop with Kim Heise during Culture Hour. Participants will create a page of the Pine Rockland Zine, the nature-themed publication that supports conservation of South Florida’s most endangered habitat. The zine will also be the next month’s issue of Pine Rockland Zine with the creators of each page as guest contributors to the publication.

The signature cocktail this month is a Negroni, the iconic Italian drink and favorite of the Center’s curator. Images and information about the plants, animals, and landscape of pine rocklands will be provided for reference, and participants will be asked to choose one that inspires them to make a page about in order to help others better understand, love and conserve this globally imperiled habitat. Materials will be provided for a wide variety of expressions including collage, drawing, painting and calligraphy.

Come celebrate the arts!
