One of NSU Art Museum’s most popular education programs, Creativity Exploration promotes the development of creativity and self-expression through art-making and the practice of mindfulness. On Saturday, July 10, join educator and mindfulness instructor Lark Keeler for a Zoom class inspired by Mizuhiki cord weaving and Japanese basketry, create a wrapped rock and cultivate increased awareness and contemplation.
No prior experience is necessary.
Advance reservations required, space is limited. Materials should be obtained prior to the class.
Project Materials:
- Smooth rocks of various sizes (at least palm sized)
- Waxed cord or hemp cord (colored or natural)
- Decorative buttons or beads
- Masking tape
- Tapestry needle
