Gain the skills you need to become a more agile and business-savvy creative in a changing economy in Business Skills for the Modern Creator, a new online workshop series taught by leading arts practitioners and industry professionals.

Session 5: Thrive as an Artist

Making the Sale

Explore the importance of a portfolio, sales strategy, business outlets and how to develop your own unique sales technique with artist Ed King. Creatives will also cover the various ways their product or service can be distributed and identify the factors to help you choose the best distribution channels.

Take Control

Grounded in a nationally sourced suite of tools, Artists Thrive helps us see where we are in our work, where we want to go, what is important to measure, and how we can improve in ways that benefit everyone involved. This interactive workshop will be co-led by Heather Pontonio (Senior Program Director at the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation) and Mitzi Sinnott (performance artist, activist, educator and Artists Thrive Activator) who will provide an overview, deep dive into assessment tools and guided group conversation to support each artist’s individual path to thriving.

Business Skills for the Modern Creator will take place every other Saturday June through August. More info about the series:
