Three-time Grammy® winner Bruce Hornsby has built one of the most diverse, collaborative, and adventurous careers in contemporary music. The creatively insatiable pianist and singer-songwriter has always succeeded on his exceptional gifts, his training, and his work ethic. He became a global name in music by reimagining American roots forms as songs that moved with the atmospheric grace of jazz. Hornsby has collaborated with the Grateful Dead, Spike Lee, and Ricky Skaggs, to name a few. He has fused the plunk and dazzle of 20th century modernist classical composition to singer-songwriter emotional inquiries. Hornsby’s songs, both in spirit and memory, function collectively as an homage to fiction writing that, while often poetic, takes no prisoners. His performance offers a glimpse of a restless spirit who continues to push forward into exciting new musical terrain.
