‘Tis the season for Nutcracker… with a touch of Ellington. Written by Tchaikovsky, arranged by Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, and orchestrated by Jeff Tyzik, the Broward Symphony performs a less traditional version of the Nutcracker. The program also includes Mozart’s Symphony No. 36, Strauss’ Emperor Waltzes and a little bit more Ellington.
