The Humane Society of Broward County invites pet parents to bring their special furry friends for a Blessing of the Animals, in recognition of the Feast of Saint Francis, the patron saint of animals. The Blessing will take place on Sunday, October 6th from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. outside in the Memorial Garden located at the far east side at the Humane Society of Broward County located at 2070 Griffin Road, just west of I-95. The Franciscan Friars of the Parish of Saints Francis & Clare will perform the Blessing. Pets of all kinds are welcome, but PLEASE be sure to have your pet in a secure carrier or on a leash. For more information, please call 954-266-6848 – no need to RSVP. For anyone with special needs, Father Joe will do a second blessing in the parking lot at 3:30.

The Humane Society of Broward County is a private, non-profit organization supported by donations from people and companies who want to help us help the animals. The shelter receives no government funding and is not affiliated with any local or national organization with a similar name.
