In the spirit of embracing individuality and accepting the differences of others, ArtServe is kicking off its inaugural “True Colors” art exhibition with a free gallery reception on Thursday, October 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. “True Colors” displays more than 120 pieces from 60 local artists in exploration of identity and diversity along all spectrums, including works on LGBTQ issues, First Amendment rights, race and ethnicity, women’s rights, and more. The reception will feature a traditional Mexican dance performance from Jim Hammond’s Florida Day of the Dead Festival alongside food, music, and an Online People’s Choice Award. The “True Colors” art exhibition will be on display at ArtServe until November 4. ArtServe gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to the gallery is free.
