As the season comes to a close, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida’s Spring Ballet Gala will take center stage, showcasing a repertoire that only the highest caliber of dancers can execute flawlessly.
Celebrate the grand finale with the captivating production of “Petrouchka”, featuring Stravinsky’s mesmerizing music, stunning costumes, breathtaking scenery, and choreography by Issaev himself.
Set in the midst of a fair, this Ballet in one act unravels the tale of three puppets: the lovestruck clown, Petrouchka; the infatuated Ballerina; and the alluring Moor. Guided by the manipulative Charlatan, these characters come to life, embodying human emotions and evoking a range of sentiments.
The program will feature the timeless and classical ballet, “Le Spectre de La Rose.” This short ballet follows a young girl who dreams of dancing with the spirit of a souvenir rose from her first ball. With music by Webber and choreography by Fokine, this piece captures the essence of youthful enchantment.
