Allied Kitchen & Bath, South Florida’s leading retailer of custom kitchens, baths and complete home remodeling, will be hosting Galley Wars as part of Fleet Week Port Everglades 2016 to benefit Broward Navy Days, Inc.

Galley Wars, sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, pits military culinary specialists against each other in Italian-themed quick fire challenges to prepare the best dishes while racing against the clock. Five teams (comprised of three serviceman each) representing the visiting ships will compete against each other. Allied Kitchen & Bath will supply portable kitchen islands to each cooking team at its new 10,000 sq. foot showroom.

Celebrity judges, including Angelo Elia, Executive Chef and Owner of Casa D’Angelo restaurants and Angelo Elia Pizza, Bar & Tapas, will be on hand to evaluate the cooking teams in the categories of Most Creative Dish, Best Teamwork, Judge’s Favorite and Audience Favorite, among others. Allied’s neighbor, Funky Buddha Brewery, will be providing cold brews throughout the evening, including their signature Floridian Hefewsizen and Hop Gun IPA.
