Presented by the Kennedy Center’s ARTS ACROSS AMERICA initiative in partnership with the Broward Center, this special event is a Cultural Conversation about the current state and bright future of the arts with world renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Participating in the dialogue are Kennedy Center President Deborah Rutter; U.S. Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-22); Urban League of Broward County President & CEO Dr. Germaine Smith-Baugh; and other local leaders. Kennedy Center Board Chair David M. Rubenstein, known as the country’s leading philanthropic patriot; will moderate. This dynamic exchange of ideas will spotlight the impact of the arts in building community by promoting social connection, a strong creative economy and cultural citizenship. A Q&A will follow and community performances are planned.
