United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Behavioral Health & Drug Prevention, in collaboration with the Broward Behavioral Health Coalition and Florida Department of Children and Families, presents the 9th Annual Behavioral Health Conference: The Power of Prevention on Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center to promote community awareness and support of behavioral health and substance use prevention.
- The Annual two-day Behavioral Health Conference serves as a platform for professionals in the behavioral and mental health fields to share insights, research, and best practices in promoting mental health and well-being. The two-day event emphasizes the critical role of prevention strategies in enhancing overall behavioral health.
- The Conference will feature renowned psychologists, professors, trauma and grief specialists, leading diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) experts, and prevention specialists who will provide crucial continuing education.
- Participants will have the opportunity to learn from these thought leaders, network with industry peers, and discuss issues related to research, policy and practice.
- The Conference Tracks will include Professional Development, Faith-Based Focus, Social Determinants of Behavioral Health, Innovative Initiatives, Trauma-Responsive Initiative, Youth Prevention Interventions, Collaboration and Integration and Mental Health Promotion.
- Licensed Clinicians and Certified Professionals can earn CEU credits.
- Keynote Speakers include: Joe Roberts, Jamira Burley, Amanda Andere and Dr. Mimi Graham. More speakers will be announced soon.
