Voices for Children of Broward County will host the 5th Annual Soaring for Children, presented by Hunter Douglas, along with Event Chair Harriet Sharaf, and Celebrity Host Dale The Host from the Miami Heat, on December 8, 2016 from 6-9 pm, at The Venue, Fort Lauderdale. Soaring for Children will welcome over 200 of Broward’s philanthropic donors and business and community leaders. The event, known for its unique and exciting venues over the years, will take place at an upscale, one-of- a- kind venue called “The Venue” in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Throughout the night, guests will enjoy a luxury silent auction and raffle, great cuisine, premium cocktails, live entertainment, and other special surprises. All followed by a chic after party, held from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Soaring for Children is Voices for Children of Broward County’s annual signature cocktail reception and raises funds needed to sustain and enhance life-changing programs that directly benefit abused, abandoned and neglected children in the care of the State, in Broward County. Individual and corporate sponsorships of the Cocktail Reception are vital to Voices for Children of Broward County’s success and its ability to continue to deliver key programming to the over 2,000 children they serve each year.
This year marks Voices’ 5th Anniversary serving the Broward community. In celebration of this milestone, this year’s Soaring for Children will highlight five years of advocating for Broward’s most vulnerable children and will honor Amy Goldin, founding board chair, and her husband Brian Strelitz, as the 2016 Voice of Distinction for their tireless efforts on behalf of the organization and the children it serves.
