Guests are invited to come donned in their finest Derby Day attire to take in all of the race-day excitement of the Preakness Stakes.
With breathtaking views of the legendary Gulfstream Park racetrack, the event will feature a Black-eyed Susan welcome cocktail, open bar courtesy of Breakthrough Beverage, DJ, elaborate buffet style dinner and dessert station.
Guests will have an opportunity to compete in a “Best Dressed & Best Hat” contest.
Three races will be named in honor of the Crockett Foundation with a shotgun start at 5 p.m.
Notable attendees include: William Floyd, former San Francisco 49ers player and Super Bowl champion; Eddie Jones, former Miami Heat player; Cornelius Bennett, former NFL player for the Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills; and Jessie Tuggle, former All-Pro Linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons.
The event will benefit the Crockett Foundation and its educational programs with the mission to help build character, develop leaders and improve communities – one child at a time.
The event will be emceed by Sports Anchor for CBS4 News, Jim Berry.
