The South Florida Institute on Aging (SoFIA) will host the 5th annual aging symposium, “How We Age Matters,” on Wednesday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The virtual event will explore avenues to close the digital divide and help older adults to embrace technology as a tool for building interpersonal relationships, address mental health concerns for caregivers, offer resources to help older adults achieve economic stability and explore new research being done to better the lives of older adults. The event will be a forum to encourage conversation and collaborative problem solving, while providing information on community efforts and resources.
SoFIA’s virtual experience includes opportunities to attend seminars of personal interest, while sponsors and vendors will benefit from a virtual booth and AI technology to connect them to attendees from the same industry or with shared interests.
