May is Mental Health Awareness Month and NAMI Broward County will host it’s 4th annual “Artful Minds” fundraiser on Thursday, May 29th from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at MAD Arts.
- Artful Minds is a showcase of “art as therapy” igniting conversations surrounding mental health and wellness and inspiring hope through art.
- All artwork displayed at Artful Minds is curated by artists living with mental health conditions or who address the theme of mental health. Attendees will gain a better understanding of mental health conditions through the artists’ works and their paths to recovery.
- Funds raised from Artful Minds directly benefit NAMI Broward County’s mission to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions through education, support, and advocacy.
- NAMI Broward County has implemented many free programs and initiatives that have significantly increased mental health awareness and support. In 2024, the organization reached over 9,000 people through its nationally-recognized Signature programs, including NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group, NAMI Family Support Groups, and NAMI Ending the Silence, as well as a new local Mentor-to-Mentee program.
