The Broward County Library’s 16th Annual Children’s BookFest is going online with three special Saturday events to kick off the 2021 “Tails and Tales” Summer Learning Program.

The Children’s BookFest is a celebration of children’s literature that gives children, tweens and families a preview of the Summer Learning Program, which offers fun, literacy and non-stop entertainment in a safe, online, interactive format. Attendees can meet an award-winning author and illustrator, pick up a free book, learn a magic trick, show off their favorite pet/stuffed animal in a pet parade and enter a raffle for prizes.

Let’s Draw with Bob Shea
June 5th, 11AM-Noon, Register
Join award-winning author/illustrator Bob Shea for an interactive drawing lesson/presentation Register early for the Summer Learning Program (5/30-6/1) for the chance to win an autographed copy of Shea’s book Cheetah Can’t Lose or his Race You to Bed.

The Magical Bookstore by Fantasy Theatre Factory
June 5th, 1-2PM, Register
Online, live spectacular featuring juggling, puppetry and mind-blowing magic for the whole family to enjoy.
