Experience an unforgettable evening at the 15th Anniversary Ghost Light Society Soirée Presented by UKG, featuring delicious food, drinks, dancing, and more, all on the stage of Fort Lauderdale’s most iconic theater, The Parker. The highlight of the night will be a live, intimate performance by Steven Page, formerly of the Barenaked Ladies – a rare opportunity to be right on stage with this sensational musician as he performs a private set featuring some of BNL’s hit songs. Attendance is limited to 250 people.
Hosted by the Broward Center’s young professionals’ group, the Ghost Light Society, the annual Soirée brings emerging philanthropists and community and business leaders together to raise funding for arts-in-education at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, which has the largest FREE arts-in-education program in the nation. All proceeds from the 15th Anniversary event will go to support educational programs that aim to benefit more than 100,000 Broward County students in the upcoming school year.
As a co-founder, vocalist and songwriter for Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page sang and wrote classics like “Brian Wilson,” “If I Had A Million Dollars,” “What A Good Boy,” “It’s All Been Done” and many more. With the band, he sold over 15 million albums and scored multiple Junos, Billboard Music Awards and two Grammy nominations, among other awards. After leaving the band in 2009, Steven embarked on a solo career that has produced five solo albums, including 2022’s Excelsior, and has seen him tour worldwide, from folk festivals to cabarets and theatres, all the way to packed arenas on his recent string of dates opening for rock legends The Who.
