In April 2016, BABYMETAL became the first Japanese artist to headline at the prestigious Wembley Arena in the United Kingdom. In June 2019, they performed at one of the world’s largest music festivals, Glastonbury Festival and their appearance at this festival made headlines worldwide. That same year in September, BABYMETAL embarked on their “METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR.” On Oct. 11, 2019, BABYMETAL had a worldwide release of their third album “METAL GALAXY” and on that same day, they had their first United States headlining arena show at The Forum in Los Angeles. “METAL GALAXY” ranked No. 13 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 (Albums Chart), largely surpassing the record of their previous album, and ranked No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums Chart for the first time as an Asian artist. In the U.K. Official Charts, the album consecutively ranked in the Official Albums Chart Top 20 from their previous album and ranked No. 1 on the Rock & Metal Albums Chart for the first time in history as a Japanese artist.

In 2021, from January to April, they accomplished 10 headline performances at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo called “10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN.” After a two-year hiatus from live performances, BABYMETAL was unsealed for “BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE -” where they performed at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Riding the success of last year’s concept album “THE OTHER ONE,” Dance Metal sensation BABYMETAL hosted the first edition of their very own festival “FOX_FEST” last month, featuring exclusive appearances by Electric Callboy, Polyphia and Bilmuri. Always pushing boundaries and testing the limits of metal music, BABYMETAL is no stranger to collaborations, with recent partnerships including Bring Me to the Horizon, Tom Morello and Lil Uzi Vert. Before coming to the U.S. in November, the band will circle Europe this summer on their festival run, including a main stage appearance at the U.K.’s Download Festival.
