A moon party with fun STEAM activities, exhibition tours, snacks and giveaways! We are celebrating a few days ahead of International Moon Observation Day (October 21).

We are all familiar with Earth’s Moon, the fifth largest moon in the solar system!

Join Broward County Main Library to observe and learn more about the mysterious, glowing sphere in space.

  • Tour the Moon Rock Exhibition (yes, we have an actual piece of the Moon! Thanks to the Donn F. Eisele estate) and learn about the Apollo 7 mission.
  • Partake in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Maths) activities for all ages.
  • Along with South Florida Amateur Astronomers (SFAA), let’s get a closer look at the Moon using professional telescopes.
  • Our Creation Station team will take you on a virtual exploration of space!
  • Come for moon goodies, and much more!

This program is made possible with the generous support of Broward Public Library Foundation and Friends of the Fort Lauderdale Libraries.
