Association of Performing Arts of India (APAI) and Maharashtra Mandal of South Florida (MMOSF) will jointly present “ MUSIC FOR THE SOUL” a Indian Vocal Music Concert. This will be a unique jugalbandi (duet) concert featuring two acclaimed sisters, Apoorva Gokhale and Pallavi Joshi along with a team of supporting artists Shri Sanjay Deshpande on Tabla and Chinmay Kolhatkar on harmonium. Award winning vocal artists Mrs.Apoorva Gokhale and Mrs.Pallavi Joshi are sisters who have inherited the art of singing traditional Hindustani music and represent 5th generation of rich family heritage. Trained by stalwart Gurus in India from a very young age, they have given successful performances in India as well as in many countries around the world. On April 16, the sister duo will present classical genres such as Khayal along with semi-classical genres from North India.
