“Songs Of The Phoenix,” a co-commissioned concert, sponsored by The Maurer Family Foundation, is centered around the themes of new beginnings, starting again, and rising up as seen through the lens of social justice, racial justice, LGBTQ+ equality, actual democratic values, and hope.
GMCSF joined forces with the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and other choruses across the country to co-commission this world premiere song cycle. The commission includes an unbelievably diverse group of talented artists, encompassing various musical styles and multi-generational groups. This concert is made possible in part by Funding Arts Broward and The Maurer Family Foundation.
