Optima Classical Academy (OCA), the world’s first and only tuition-free virtual reality (VR) charter school, is hosting a VIP VR demonstration and showcase of the school’s curriculum and technology on Thursday, May 5, starting at 2:30 pm at Atrium room in Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale Campus located at 2401 W Cypress Creek Rd. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to step into a virtual world and experience the VR instruction as a student would; transported to a Pompeii, a pre-historic watering hole, or deep under the ocean. The curriculum is designed to educate students about historical events, characters, stories, fables, poetry, scientific facts, and mathematical proofs in a fully immersive experience, adding an unheard-of level of context to their studies.

OCA will demo its live VR curriculum and instruction, allowing students and families to experience how thousands of Florida students will attend school – an immersive, independent, and collaborative approach to education. OCA will also showcase the VR headsets provided to each student free of charge. 

Based in Florida, the tuition-free, cutting-edge charter school will enroll up to 1,300 students, grades 3-8, for its inaugural class beginning this August.
