Join us for the opening day of NSU Art Museum’s exhibition Lux et Veritas, which explores a transformative period in contemporary art by focusing on a generation of artists of color who attended Yale School of Art graduate program between 2000 and 2010. Meet the artists featured in the exhibition for discussions centered around the importance of the artist’s role as an educator and how we, as a community, can create impactful impressions by learning from our past.

This FREE event is part of the Community Voices Series, NSU Art Museum’s initiative supported by the Community Foundation of Broward that focuses on exploring social and racial inequalities and challenging social structures, including representation in museums.

A series of gallery talks with the artists will take place from 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM. In addition, Museum Director and Chief Curator, Bonnie Clearwater will lead a roundtable discussion with several artists featured in Lux et Veritas. Drop-in Art Making workshop will be led by Museum Educators and the Museum’s Teen Art Council. Admission and programming are FREE. Open to All Ages.
