In honor of Native American Heritage month, the Historic Stranahan House Museum is excited to explore the fascinating history of music and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. From traditional folk music to rock and hip-hop, the Seminoles have left their impact on the American music landscape. Presenting the program will be Seminole Tribe of Florida Cultural Ambassador Everett Osceola, who through research and personal experience will bring this topic to life. Joining Everett will be award-winning musician Spencer Battiest, who is a rising star in the music industry and has successfully merged traditional Seminole music with the modern sounds of pop and hip-hop. This will be fun and interesting program you do not want to miss.
