Maria Pierson, co-founder and CEO of Pierson Grant Public Relations, is an award-winning publicist and marketer who has written and executed PR and marketing campaigns for clients nationwide including restaurants, B2B, real estate, financial, the arts and non-profits, among others. She is a past Women in Communications Woman of the Year, was featured in a Cosmopolitan magazine article highlighting “Women In PR” and has worked on behalf of clients with numerous celebrities including Warren Buffett, Regis Philbin, Joe Flacco, Mark Cuban, Don Shula, Tony Danza, Tori Spelling, Mandy Moore, Ray Romano, Shawn Johnson, Tia Mowry, Jessie James Decker and more.

An active member of the South Florida community, Maria serves on the board of directors of Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, Business for the Arts Broward and the Miramar Cultural Trust. She also is involved with NAIOP, Broward Women’s Alliance, Junior League and other organizations and is a past Coral Springs Community Chest board member, serving over the years as president and funding and PR chair. She was a committee member for the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Centennial Celebration, the City of Coral Springs 50th Anniversary Celebration and Broward 100-Celebrating the Art of Community.

Maria was raised in Broward County and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida.

A self-proclaimed news and sports fanatic, Maria is well-known for cheering on her favorite teams, particularly the Florida Gators. She’ll shut down the office for March Madness and the World Cup.
