Twice winners of Scotland’s Traditional Music ‘Live Act of the Year’ Award (2016 & 2011), Skerryvore represents the best in contemporary Scottish folk-pop music. The group is led by two brothers, Daniel (Accordion) and Martin Gillespie (pipes, whistles and accordion), steeped in the Scottish west coast ceilidh tradition on the Isle of Tiree. Joining them are friends Fraser West (drums), Alec Dalglish (guitar and vocals), Craig Espie (fiddle) Jodie Bremaneson (bass), Scott Wood (pipes and whistles) and album producer Alan Scobie (keyboards). Together they comprise a unique worldbeat group with a background in brass, wind and jazz bands mixed with blues, folk and country influences that have taken their high energy, musically expansive set worldwide throughout UK and Europe, USA, Canada and Australia.
