Come listen to good local music, grab a bite to eat, drink some authentic ales and help raise awareness and funds for a cure for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) progressively paralyzes its victims, attacking nerve cells and pathways in the brain or spinal cord. People with ALS are robbed of the ability to walk, eat, speak, and eventually breathe. Military veterans, regardless of branch of service, era in which they served, or peace or wartime service, are twice as likely to be diagnosed with ALS. Currently, the connection is unknown. It is always fatal, and life expectancy is only 2-5 years after diagnosis.
