The inaugural Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival, a first of its kind to celebrate all of Greater Fort Lauderdale, will feature culinary creations and libations from local restaurants, craft spirit brands, wineries and breweries will run from Wednesday, March 20 thru Sunday, March 24 in Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale.

The Festival’s Grand Tasting on Saturday, March 23, will benefit Feeding South Florida and Family Day on Sunday, March 24, will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. The Festival encourages guests to participate in the unwrapped toy drive and canned food drive, respectively.

The Grand Tasting will introduce guests to the culinary revolution taking place throughout the region at a unique downtown setting. Featuring local fare, craft beer, wine and spirit tastings, cooking demonstrations in the Allied Kitchen and Bath Demo Kitchen, art installations from local talent, and live music by Bonn E. Maiy at 1 pm. There will also be a “Best Bite” Competition – People’s Choice Award and Judges Choice Award judged by local celebrity foodie judges including Mike Mayo of Sun-Sentinel, Laine Doss of Miami New Times.
