Join us as we experience the Bahamas – South Florida has a strong Bahamian influence and vast population of Bahamian decent. Bimini is one of the closest Bahamian islands to Florida. AARLCC has a broad range of collections and oral histories showcasing the Bahamian culture in South Florida. Tonight we welcome the Bahamas Tourist Office to host the event with us; starting the night with Bahamian music, cuisine, pastries and Bush Tea. Explore and learn about Grand Bahama Island and this fascinating beautiful country during an exciting travelogue by Lynda Nation Travel. After the fun doesn’t stop as we dance to the Junkanoo Band. Casual island attire is suggested, not enforced. Adults 21 and over are welcome to enjoy! Doors open at 6pm – 9:30pm.
